After the Claim
If the insurance company disputes a claim that has already been filed, they may still be obligated to honor the claim until the dispute is settled. Sometimes, they are obligated to hire two lawyers—one for the individual insured’s property or casualty defense, and one to defend themselves against the insured’s claim. Going to Trial
Sometimes, insurance companies need more than just our opinion. If necessary, we will defend their position in court or arbitration. If appropriate, we can also file a declaratory judgment action, which declares, as a matter of law, that there is no coverage. If this action is successful, the court will dismiss the coverage dispute case on summary judgment.
